Our goal is to provide maximum accuracy for Zagreb public transit. To help you understand how the system works and why discrepancies sometimes occur, read below about data sources and known scenarios.
The application does not invent or estimate vehicle routes; it retrieves and processes official GTFS and GTFS-Realtime feeds published directly by ZET and the City of Zagreb. Accuracy of vehicle positions, stop schedules, and delays directly reflects the data transmitted by ZET's servers at refresh time.
Occasionally, certain trams or buses do not transmit GPS coordinates to ZET's central telemetry system (e.g. due to an unlinked, powered-off, or faulty onboard validator/GPS terminal). Such a vehicle cannot appear on the live map or in stop arrival countdowns, even though it is physically operating in regular traffic. If a vehicle arrives at your stop without appearing on the map, missing onboard GPS transmission is the reason.
A vehicle may occasionally fail to send its location packet during a refresh cycle (e.g. while passing under bridges, narrow high-density city canyons, or temporary cellular connection drops). Consequently, brief delays in tracking updates or momentary position jumps may occur when new telemetry data is received.
